WATER
We take water for granted, but it is the most precious commodity on the planet. None of us can live without it, yet we carry on polluting our rivers and seas with sewage and plastic. Small springs, like as the one here in the Peak District National Park, flow into streams and brooks, and eventually join small rivers such as the Ryton which runs through my village. From there is continues its journey seawards by way of the Rivers Idle, Trent and Humber. A discarded plastic bottle in Anston Brook could eventually find its way into the North Sea. It is therefore everyone’s duty to dispose of their litter responsibly.
